In this article, I want to reveal to you the most three effective abs exercises you can do to start yourself off on your path to ripped and chiseled abs.

Ball Rollouts

  1. Start with the ball in front of you and with your hands on the ball.
  2. Lower your body by rolling the ball out keeping your abs tight and as stabilizers so you don’t fall.
  3. Once you have reached a desired stretch and extension return to the starting position by contracting your abdominals.

X-Body Mountain Climber

  1. Start in a push-up position
  2. Be sure to keep your head in line with the body and the stomach muscles contracted throughout the range of motion.
  3. Start the movement by bringing the right knee to the chest and back to starting position.
  4. Quickly alternate to your other leg and continue this movement for a timed period (somewhere between 30 seconds – 5 minutes).

Ball Jackknife

Start behind a Swiss ball, place your midsection on the Swiss ball and roll forward until your palms touch the ground. Walk out with your hands until the ball is underneath your ankles. Have your hands just outside of shoulder width.

Action
Hold the push-up position and hold a strong core.

EXHALE: Bend at your knees and pull the ball up towards your torso, bringing your knees to your chest. Keep the movement smooth and don’t drop your hips or raise your lower back.

INHALE: Extend your legs back to the starting position. Try doing 2-3 sets with 10-15 repetitions.

Before you go and try these abs exercises, first here are a few tips and guidelines to bring with you to the bunker.  Along with these exercises you should include a balanced diet of healthy nutritious food NOT including junk food or alcohol.  You should also remember to get in some cardio-vascular training as well such as running, cycling, or any sport activities.  Ideally you would want to spend at least 30 minutes a day for a minimum of 4 days a week for cardio training.

With these abs exercises remember that you don’t have to do “endless sets” and to treat the exercises like any other when working out.  Do 3-4 sets and 10-20 reps each.  Be sure, Be sure that your form and technique are proper and to use the muscle power of your abs and not your arms or back.  Concentrate on the contraction of your abs in a controlled manner.

If you have been working on abs exercises but haven’t seen any results, it may be due to the fact that you don’t have a low body fat index, which is necessary for you to be able to actually see the results of your working out the abs.  If this is so, you must do cardio to shed that excess fat in order to see your abs.  There is no purpose on working out your abs unless you have shed the excess fat and have a low body fat index.
